Before this course, I viewed technology as just a material that students can use to reinforce what they have already learned from a teacher. Now, I have a completely different view of the use of technology in the classroom. I believe if technology is used to its full potential, students should be able to deepen their knowledge on many topics through more inquiry based experiences.
Students should use technology as a way to branch out and learn from those around the world with similar interests, questions and ideas. Before, students only had the children in their classroom to share ideas with and learn from. Technology has given us the chance to expand our horizons. Because of my change of view, I am excited to say that I have begun to integrate technology into my classroom in new ways, and will continue to learn and create new engaging learning experiences for my students using 21 st century skills.
I have also used technology as a way to differentiate for my wide range of student needs and interests in my classroom. In my classroom, teachers, reflective essay on technology, students and parents are now using technology as a way to communicate, share ideas and ask questions.
